St. Patrick’s Day window clings are available everywhere, and what you may notice is that they are usually similar to each other from one store to the next. So this year why not make your own St. Patrick’s Day window clings.

What to Make for Your St. Patrick’s Day Clings
St. Patrick’s Day is represented by a number of different symbols you can choose from for your window clings. The easiest symbols to make for your clings are the lucky shamrock and the rainbow. If you have an artistic touch, you might want to try pots of gold, a leprechaun hat or even the Irish flag.
Creating Your St. Patrick’s Day Window Clings
After you have chosen what you are going to create and have purchased the puffy paint in the colors you need, it is time to start making your clings.
First, draw out what you want to make for your window cling on the wax paper. Next, go over the lines of your drawing with the correct color of puffy paint and fill in the spaces between the lines. To add a little sparkle, sprinkle glitter on the wet puffy paint.
Once you have finished making all of your clings, put them in a safe place and allow them to dry overnight (at least 6 hours). In the morning, you can simply peel your new St. Patrick’s Day window cling from the wax paper and stick it to the window of choice.
Words of Warning about these Window Clings
Before you embark on this fun project there are two things you need to know. First, these clings will not stick to a window that is too cold. If your windows are still frozen from winter (let’s hope not in March), put the clings on a mirror instead.
Two, if they are left on a window in hot, direct sunlight they could melt and stain your window like any other cling. If you are worried about this, put your window clings on shaded windows or windows that are not exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time during the day. They also work great on interior windows in offices where you work where they are completely out of the sunlight..
Most people don’t have any more issues with these particular St. Patrick’s Day window clings than they would with other window clings, but just be aware of what could happen.
