• Traditional French door – This comes with a wide board stile and rail construction with mortise-and-tenon joints. For protection, the exterior wood panels are covered with urethane base finish.
• Andersen Frenchwood® hinged and outswing – These doors can be installed in any opening. Both styles provide a large opening, but outswing patio doors save more space. These Frenchwood doors feature glass fiber reinforced composite interiors for beauty and low maintenance.
• Andersen Frenchwood gliding – This one employs a French door style in a space-saving gliding format. The frame is covered with a rigid vinyl sheath for visual appeal and easy cleaning.

If you want a more modern take on your patios, you can choose from the following styles:

• Contemporary gliding – This door uses thin frames for maximum glass area.
• Andersen Perma-Shield® gliding – Like Frenchwood, Perma-Shield gliding doors are also covered with vinyl sheaths.
• Andersen Narroline® gliding – This style features stainable natural pine interior with mortise-and-tenon joints. The exterior wood panel is covered with urethane base finish.

Colors and Finishes

To enhance your home’s curb appeal, you can choose from several colors and finishes for both the interior and exterior of your patio doors. For exterior colors, we have white, canvas, sandstone, and Terratone®, which are all available for Narroline, Perma-Shield, and Frenchwood. For interior finishes, we have pine, oak, maple, and prefinished white. You can only use the prefinished white interior with white exterior. Additionally, Narroline is only available in pine interior finish.

Hardware and Other Accessories

• Reach-out locking system – This is available for gliding doors. It pulls the door snugly into the jamb, creating a tight seal.
• Five-point locking system – This lock style increases energy efficiency and security. It can also come with a handle extension kit for additional clearance when you use blinds and shades.
• Auxiliary foot lock and exterior keyed locks – These optional locks can be added for extra security.

Along with our locking systems, we also offer eight decorative handle styles that come in 12 colors and finishes.
