Okay weekend warriors, it is time to put down that paint brush and hammer and finally enjoy your weekend. Leave the hard, window stuff to us and go do something you actually want to brag about doing when your co-workers ask you what you did over the weekend.
Can’t think of anything? While we enjoy working on windows, we can think of at least 8 different things we are sure you would personally enjoy much more.
#1: Go Somewhere
Yes, you may only have two days but there are a lot of things to do in and around Cincinnati that don’t require a long drive to get to.
#2: Take a Drive
With the weather getting nicer, it is the perfect time to take a long drive somewhere and enjoy the nice weather and the sites. And if you have had a special car in storage all winter, it is time to break it out and show it off.
#3: Garden
To some this is as bad as working on their windows, but to others their garden is their pride and joy. It makes the house look nice, decreases stress, and can provide fresh food later in the summer. This time of year it is important to get your plants in, so that you can enjoy them throughout the rest of the spring and summer.
#4: Watch a Sporting Event
Even if you don’t care for sports, we can promise that you will have much more fun watching a sport you don’t care about than scraping, painting, and repairing your windows.
#5: Have a Picnic
When was the last time you packed a lunch and headed to the park to enjoy time with your significant other or your kids?
#6: Catch a Flick
This spring and summer are supposed to be packed full of good movies. It would be a shame to miss seeing one with your friends and family because you had to work on replacing that warped vinyl window.
#7: Shop for Car Insurance:
Okay, this one may seem like a stretch. But when you have just realized that the new window you were going to put in on your own doesn’t fit the window hole it is supposed to go in, we are pretty sure you would rather be on the phone selecting how high of a deductible you want on your new car insurance premium.
#8: Spend Time with Kids or Grandkids
Anything you do with your friends and family is much better than working on your windows. Very rarely do kids have special memories of their parents repainting old window trim. Instead they remember the times they went to the local theme park, went fishing, out to eat, played checkers, or anything else that involved you taking a weekend to spend time with them instead of spending time with your windows.
