Renewal by Andersen® is proud to offer comprehensive warranties for every replacement window: the kind of warranty you expect and deserve.

A typical warranty would only cover either the material or workmanship. A contractor or manufacturer that can offer both is not something you find very often. That said, Renewal by Andersen is one of the few window contractors in San Francisco that offers both, and more.

Our replacement windows are covered by a fully transferable warranty that includes parts, labor and original installation services. “Fully transferable” means that if you decide to sell your home, the warranty coverage can be transferred to the next owner as long as the warranty is still in effect – all you have to do is let us know of the transfer of ownership. We are one of the few San Francisco window companies who can help you with the transfer from start to finish.

There are three parts that make up our warranties:

1. 20-year limited warranty on Fibrex® and glass. Fibrex is our patented composite material made of wood and fiber which is as strong and stable as wood, as maintenance-free as vinyl, and 700 times better insulated than aluminum. It is also guaranteed not to flake, rust, blister, peel, crack, pit, corrode, or rot under normal use. So far, we are the only San Francisco window contractor that offers this kind of virtually indestructible material. All of our glass products are also expected to perform under the same conditions. Imagine having a newborn when the windows are installed. The warranty would still be valid when it’s time for your child to go to college.
2. 10-year limited warranty for the frame, sash and locking mechanisms. The other parts of the replacement window – locks, lifts, balance systems, hinges, handles, insect screens, weathering strips and finishes – are covered by this part of the warranty.
3. 2-year limited warranty on professional installation. This means that if the replacement window fails due to improper original installation, we will bring the workmanship quality up to our professional standards at no extra cost.
